2020 NATIONAL HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE DAY CEREMONY

March 17, 2020: We wish to inform you that due to the Covid-19 situation the National Holocaust Remembrance Ceremony scheduled for April 21, 2020 in Ottawa is cancelled.

Given the importance of Yom Hashoah and the Ceremony, we are working closely with Yad Vashem, Jerusalem and local partners to present an online event for Yom Hashoah. Details will be posted and sent to you in the upcoming weeks. We truly regret that we cannot gather together at this time for our nation’s leaders to pay their respects to the victims of the Holocaust and to honour the Survivors. However, prudent decisions to curtail the spread of this virus and protect the health of all those who would be participating in this event is our only concern at this time.
